Croatian Go Association is organizing 8th Summer Go Festival – a traditional go camp for young players. The activities will be held in a children-friendly hostel Sisak-Zaostrog from August 29 to September 5, 2026. The camp is not a part of SEYGO Tour since SEYGO Project is “frozen” until a significant support from European go community is clearly visible.

The camp activities traditionally include:

• Zaostrog Classic – EGD Class A tournament – 5 rounds, 60 minutes basic time + 3 x 30 seconds byoyomi
• Zaostrog Rapid – EGD Class C tournament – 5 rounds, 25 minutes basic time + 1 x 10 seconds byoyomi
• Tsumego solving competition: daily scores are summed up for medals in several strength dependent groups
• Diving go: a spectacular relay go with moves played on the sea bottom – unique in Zaostrog since 2019
• PairGo: always fun to play
• Chess and Go: another Croatian invention, usual in European Go Congresses since 2017
• Lectures and reviews with go teachers (a special lecture about fair play!)
• Morning workout and soccer tournament

COSTS:

• full board in hostel Zaostrog: 7 x 48,00 EUR = 336,00 EUR (30% discount for children younger than 10)
• camp fee (covering all camp activities and entry fees for both tournaments and the T-shirt): 75,00 EUR

PRIZES:

• Zaostrog Classic: 200, 150, 100, 50 EUR + trophies
• Zaostrog Rapid: 100, 50, 30, 20 EUR + medals
• All camp activities: medals for three best participants

Accommodation: All participants will be accommodated in the hostel Zaostrog.

Venue: Zaostrog is a small peaceful town in Dalmatia. It has the most beautiful beach in the region, with special climate combining the mountain and the sea. Summer go festivals are organized since 2019, without breaks during pandemics. Zaostrog is easy to reach by highway from Zagreb. There is a direct bus connection from Zagreb bus station (reserve your ticket early enough). Split airport is well connected to major European airports during the summer season. The event is continuously supported by the Gradac Municipality Touristic Board.
